Having an outdoorwedding just might be one of the most romantic moments of your life. OR it might end in utter disaster if you didn’t plan things accordingly. You hav to plan for the weather, find alternatives if the weather is un-weddable. You have to plan for how to keep your guest comfortable, figuring out if any of your guest have allergies to bees if your wedding is in a garden. It’s quite a big task, trying to plan a successful outdoor wedding. Below are a couple of tips to help you with your perfect outdoor wedding!

  1. Plan for wind- It is easy to forget about the damage a little wind can cause. Make sure to avoid heavy materials, whether it’s in the ceremonial decorations or on your wedding dress. Tell your hairstylist that you’re having an outdoor wedding so that he/she can give you  style that will last in windy weather. Overall, remember to consider in wind for your wedding!
  2. Have a backup plan-  Remember, you don’t control mother nature. Always have an alternative in case of severe thunderstorms or extremely windy weather.
  3. Think about your guest- Keep the comfort of your guest in mind. Ask if anyone has any allergies or other medical conditions to be outside. Keep them sheltered from the rain and wind. Make sure they keep hydrated in dry weather and warm in cold weather. While this is YOUR big day, they are there to celebrate you so mind you to be a little appreciative of their support!
  4. Keep things grounded- No matter what the weather, there’s most likely going to be some bit of wind. This little bit can cause everything that is not latched down to go flying all over the place! Imagine reading your vows when a flower decore comes flying into your face!
  5. Choose the right attire- This is critical! Depending on the outdoor spacing and approximate weather, make sure to wear something comfortable and appropriate for the locations! If you have a narrow aisle way with long grass, make sure that your wedding dress is light and not a pouffy ball gown
  6. Don’t dawdle-  Weather can change in a blink of the eye. Unfortunately, we still don’t have the technology to control it. Thus, all you can do is hope for the best and move as quick as you can when the weather is favorable.
